Delete your account
This page is also published in Spanish, the language of the company’s registration, and the Spanish version is the one that applies.
This page belongs to Oksigenia Aty, the app by Oksigenia SL for signing in to the learning platforms that Oksigenia hosts for each school or organisation. It explains how to ask for your account, or some of your data, to be deleted, what is deleted and what is kept.
1. How to ask for your account to be deleted
Your account lives on your school’s platform, and your school is the controller of your data. You can ask for it to be deleted in two ways:
- From the app: in your profile menu, “Delete my account”. If your school has turned on the platform’s privacy requests, you will see “Data requests” instead, where you can ask for all your data to be deleted or download it. What happens next is up to each school: in some, deletion is immediate; in others, their data protection officer reviews it.
- Through your school or by email: ask your school, or write to hola@oksigenia.com from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my Aty account” and the address of your school’s platform. Oksigenia, which processes the data as a processor on the school’s behalf, passes the request on to the school and deletes the account as soon as the school confirms it. We reply within one month at most.
For minors’ accounts, the request is made by their family or handled by the school.
2. What is deleted
- Your profile.
- Your messages and the files you have uploaded.
- Your device’s registration for notifications: the notification identifier, the manufacturer, the model and the rest of the device data.
- The app’s PIN and access keys.
3. What is kept, and for how long
- Whatever your school must keep by law or by its academic rules (grades, records, certificates), for as long as those rules require.
- The backups, which are encrypted, keep the data for up to 12 months (14 daily, 8 weekly and 12 monthly copies) and are then deleted automatically. They are only used to restore the service.
4. Deleting data without deleting the account
- You can delete your own messages and files from the app or from the platform’s website.
- Removing an account from the app deletes that site’s data from the phone, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
- For any other specific data, ask your school or write to hola@oksigenia.com.
What data the app handles, and why, is in the Oksigenia Aty privacy policy.
