Oksigenia SOS · Outdoor emergency app
Open sourceMobileDetects falls in the mountains and calls for help by SMS, no data connection needed
Oksigenia SOS detects a serious fall or prolonged inactivity on the phone itself and texts your position to the contact you choose. SMS is the channel still alive when mobile data is gone.
Oksigenia SOS demo: while you run, the app watches for falls and inactivity. After a hard fall it asks whether you are fine, with a countdown; if you do not answer, it sends the alert. Your contact receives a text with your position on the map, battery and altitude, with no mobile data. Then the app keeps sending your position.
